Realization : Our mission was to intervene to transform an old neighborhood grocery store into a salad bar with an attractive Mediterranean decor and which makes the inhabitants of this area forget this old space by changing their perception for this same place. First of all, we thank the couple who gave us the opportunity to experience with them the achievement of one of their goals which is close to their hearts and which was done with a lot of love and enthusiasm. We started by understanding the concept of the project, how it would work, the size of the elements needed for this Salad Bar and the owners’ vision for their project in order to provide them with a tailor-made space that meets their needs, their vision and their expectations. We had a problem of deadlines, we were playing against the clock because the owners wanted to launch their project as quickly as possible, we accepted this challenge of reduced deadlines. So as soon as we had determined the needs and the concept, we embarked on the research and sketching part which only lasted a few days.With the constraint of deadlines, we had another major constraint: the program is very busy compared to the space, and it is a space that is open to the public. The dilemma is then to design a space with an in-depth study of the circuits and movements of the different users of the space and above all it guarantees that no user has the feeling that the space is small or that their movements are constricted.To solve this problem we have resorted to the study of all the possible scenarios in our space and to techniques that we have acquired throughout our experience of more than 38 years. We overcame all these challenges in record time and we monitored part of the work to ensure the proper execution and results of our project. The project was a success, whether for our team who overcame all the challenges imposed by the project in record time or for the clients who had their project delivered on time and who expressed their satisfaction with the result and the process that brought us there.
